We welcomed summer with a high-water event causing temporary closure of some state park facilities around the reservoir, tornado warnings, and a blistering few days of uncomfortable heat and humidity. Courtesy photo The cooling waters of the Reservoir are a great respite from the hot temperatures and the chaotic business of daily life.

Summer is almost here and the Waterbury Reservoir is beginning to burst with activity! People are swimming, paddling, fishing, and boating, and the wildlife and birds are coming back in great numbers.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Rangers Ben and Patrick, whose expertise and hard work were instrumental, along with the invaluable support and muscle power provided by Eloise and Eric from VCE, our loon raft has been successfully installed.
